Hiking, Wildlife & Waterfalls Tour (June-Oct) The focus of this tour is the exploring wildlife habitat on the eastern side of Yellowstone park, Yellowstone lake and river, Sylvan Pass and/or Mount Washburn. We can enjoy stunning hikes along of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone – Upper (308 ft) and Lower (97 ft) waterfalls & spot wildlife in the Hayden Valley. We go where the animals are, learn about the osprey, ravens, elk, antelope, bears, wolves and buffalo that roam freely in this awesome national park. Our naturalist guides craft a deep connection to wonders of Nature for all ages. Longer or shorter hikes depending on desire and ability. We will lunch at Canyon or Lake Village or enjoy a tasty picnic. At least one geo-thermal area can be visited, to experience the Yellowstone volcanic forces. Late afternoon we circle “the wagon” back over the Continental Divide toward Jackson Hole, where a beautiful Teton Mountain sunset awaits.
There are hundreds of miles of hiking opportunities in Yellowstone to explore more off-the-beaten track geothermal and wildlife locations. If you’re interested in doing longer backcountry hikes or several hikes during your tour day, then consider a specialized hiking tour. Hiking tours focus on exploring one side of the Lower Loop–either the west side Super Volcano & Geothermals OR the east side Wildlife & Waterfalls. These tours are great even if you’re not up for hiking but are interested in a slower pace and more in-depth exploration of Yellowstone attractions, or if you desire a shorter tour day.
