Hiking & Super Volcano Geo-thermals Tour (Mid May-October) – This fun tour day will focus on the west side of the Lower Loop road, exploring and experiencing Geysers, Mud pots, Hot springs and Fumaroles (gas vents). Yellowstone national park was created because of how unique to our planet these hot, steaming, bubbling thermal features are and that curious people can safely explore some of the 10,000 Yellowstone geo-thermals. Our guides will craft a day for all ages to experience and enjoy. Lunch will either be picnic-style or at the Historic Old Faithful Inn, built in 1904. We will witness the might of the Yellowstone Caldera, watch Old Faithful Geyser erupt, marvel at the intense colored Extremophiles and much more. This day can include longer hikes through geyser basins and other backcountry locations few have seen. Of course we will stop to enjoy wildlife viewing opportunities!
There are hundreds of miles of hiking opportunities in Yellowstone to explore more off-the-beaten track geothermal and wildlife locations. If you’re interested in doing longer backcountry hikes or several hikes during your tour day, then consider a specialized hiking tour. Hiking tours focus on exploring one side of the Lower Loop–either the west side Super Volcano & Geothermals OR the east side Wildlife & Waterfalls. These tours are great even if you’re not up for hiking but are interested in a slower pace and more in-depth exploration of Yellowstone attractions, or if you desire a shorter tour day.
