This is easily arranged at the airport when you arrive or through your accommodations so check with your hotel to see if they offer an airport shuttle!

There is a wide variety of accommodations in the Yellowstone region. Buffalo Roam will arrange lodging for you and your guide. Booking early ensures the best lodging options & locations. Most lodges inside the park are sold out a year in advance. However, there are several wonderful “gateway” communities on the park border where we love to stay which have availability throughout the high summer season and are close to unique areas of the Greater Yellowstone. Most accommodations in and around the park are what we call “Western rustic” charming little hotels, lodges or cabins; perhaps with fewer amenities but in a beautiful location!

Since lodging costs vary greatly depending on location, availability and your comfort level, we separate your tour cost and lodging cost. This allows you more options and typically we reserve the rooms directly on your credit card so that you are not paying any extra fees for lodging! Cost varies from $200 – $450 per room per night; we work with your budget and desired level of accommodation in booking lodging. Your lodging cost includes lodging for your guide, and we always search for a more economical option for your guide.

We at Buffalo Roam know that Yellowstone is a trip of a lifetime and we will strive to make it the most enjoyable and memorable. Throughout the adventure, you will experience and connect to this wild beautiful national park landscape. Your experienced naturalist guide will share fun lessons on wildlife behavior, the Super Volcano creation, human land use, park history, the natural environment, microbiology “extremophiles” and much more. We impart a solid enjoyment to the wild wonders of nature. While on tour, we practice bear country safety techniques, “Leave No Trace” principles to outdoor travel and proper behavior in the presence of all wildlife and within a national park.

The exact routes and itineraries will depend on a number of factors – the most important being lodging location. Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks cover a large, wild area of over 2.5 million acres! One of the great things about private tours is that our experienced guides customize each adventure, making informed suggestions to calibrate each day to your interests, expectations, experience level, the best wildlife options, weather and desired length of hikes.

We strive to provide a fun, safe, memorable national park experience at any given time of year. We look forward to connecting you to the wonders of wild places!

Buffalo Roam Tours wowed this Jackson Hole Local! Our driver, Liam knew our group wanted a "bear day" and he granted our wish with a total of seven bears! The spotting scope we peered through brought the grizzlies up close -- from a safe distance, and he had many interesting facts about the creatures and the ability to answer our questions. Spending a day with Buffalo Roam Tours will no doubt be a highlight of the summer!

I researched and interviewed 9 guide companies before choosing Buffalo Roam. If you want a once in a lifetime experience, this is it! You won't just "see" Grand Teton and Yellowstone, you will learn about their history, geology, flora, fauna and people. Matt was great getting everything set up, and Al was a walking textbook on the tour. We did 4 days total and were never bored. We saw everything we wanted plus some. You really can't imagine all you will experience and learn with these amazing guides, and it's all stress free for you! Money and time very well spent.

This was absolutely the best part of our wonderful trip to Jackson hole. Matthew is so knowledgeable. We learned so much and saw big horn sheep, elk, moose and bison. We have memories that will last a lifetime. Hope to come back again and will definitely take another tour.

Our tour of Yellowstone was incredible — truly a bucket-list experience. Matt was our guide and he picked us up right at our hotel at Old Faithful. He was knowledgeable, great with kids, and kept us engaged all day. He tailored the day to best fit our kids and their interests. We saw unbelievable colorful geysers and hot springs. A highlight was the thermal gun Matt provided to have the kids take the temperatures of the geysers and hot springs. We had a picturesque picnic lunch and an ice cream stop along the way. We saw a ton of wildlife and pulled off at the stops to use binoculars to see them better! We never would have covered as much ground without Matt. He truly was worth every single penny and next trip we will absolutely be touring with him again. It’s the very best way to experience Yellowstone in a day!

We had a perfect day with Frank of Buffalo Roam Tours, exploring Yellowstone Park. There were 8 of us, including 4 kiddos from ages 7-11. The van was great, Frank was so knowledgeable, making the day fly by with his great narration and fun facts. He took us to off-the-beaten path landmarks within the park - so we skipped busy parking lots, lines, and lots of people. Felt like we had the perfect private tour. Time was spent enjoying the beauty of the park, rather than waiting in long lines for a photo opp. We had a lovely private picnic lunch by the water - it was a great time for our kids to stretch their legs. Would highly recommend Buffalo Roam Tours and Frank. Their communication leading up to our trip was excellent, as well. Will definitely rebook on our next trip to WY.

Matt from Buffalo Roam Tours Let us on a great tour of Grand Teton and Yellowstone. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and willing to share all of his knowledge. He also knows how to get around the park so we’ve saw way more in a couple of days with Matt than we would’ve ever been able to see on our own. Highly recommended.

We took the Private Yellowstone Lower Loop Tour with Buffalo Roam Tours and had a wonderful experience. Frank was our guide, he took us to the highlights, he definitely knew his way around the park and was very informative. Most of us had never been to Yellowstone, so this was an excellent way to maximize our day in the park. I highly recommend Buffalo Roam Tours.
